Sefton High School was established in 1961. It draws students from the local community and half of Year 7 is selected on the basis of academic performance as determined by the DET Selective Schools Unit’s testing.
The school has an excellent reputation for student achievement. It offers a range of opportunities in the academic, vocational, sporting, cultural and citizenship areas to extend student abilities and develop positive attitudes and values.
Sefton High School is committed to developing a safe and challenging learning environment which nurtures and guides individuals to commit themselves to achieving their personal best, enabling them to make a positive contribution to Australian society and lead fulfilling and productive lives.
We strive to foster competent, confident, healthy, tolerant and responsible citizens by promoting active involvement in learning and an interest in this as a lifelong process. We value sincerity, scholarship and service.
